Viktor Hovland closed out the BMW at Olympia Fields with a final round 61. He finished his back nine with seven birdies en route to a closing 28. It was an all-time performance on Sunday for Hovland to win by two.
While everything was on for Hovland Sunday, his approach play was unreal, consistently throwing darts with his irons. Of his seven birdies on the back nine, six were hit inside 10 feet, with the other birdie hitting it to 12 feet.
The victory also puts Hovland in second place behind Scottie Scheffler heading into the Tour Championship. With next week’s Tour Championship playing as a net tournament, the starting strokes for the field of 30 are below:

Matt Fitzpatrick and Scottie Scheffler were tied for the lead heading into Sunday, and both finished two behind the red-hot Hovland. Fitzpatrick's second-place finish moved him comfortably inside the Top 30 for FedEx Cup points and earned him a start in the Tour Championship. For Scheffler, the finish guaranteed him a two-stroke lead to start next week in Atlanta.
Asian Tour - International Series England
Andy Ogletree won his second International Series event for the year on the Asian Tour. Not having played a tournament round since May, Ogletree's 7-shot victory came as both an impressive and unexpected outcome, bringing him closer to earning a spot for the 2024 LIV season. Ian Poulter had a commendable finish shooting 64 on Sunday to clinch a solo second. Poulter’s son Luke was also in the field as an amateur, making the cut and finishing in a tie for 22nd.
Anirban Lahiri finished birdie-eagle to finish in third ahead of a host of other LIV golfers, including Matt Jones, Abraham Ancer, Jason Kokrak, and David Puig.
The Asian Tour’s next stop is Scotland for the inaugural St Andrews Bay Championship.
ISPS Handa World Invitational
Alexa Pano treated herself to the best 19th birthday present, winning on the women’s side at Galgorm Castle. The young American emerged from a three-way playoff with a birdie on the third playoff hole to win over Gabriella Cowley and Esther Henseleit. Pano’s turnaround for the week was impressive after opening the tournament with a 76 and finishing Sunday with a 66 to get into the playoff.
Daniel Brown went wire-to-wire on the men’s side and ran away from the field for his first DP World Tour win. Brown’s closest competitor on Sunday was Alex Fitzpatrick, taking home $165k and his best finish on the European tour. Alex also matched his brother Matt’s second-place finish on the PGA Tour, albeit earning $1.6 million less than Matt for his efforts.
Korn Ferry Tour - Magnit Championship
Chan Kim won at Metedeconk National Golf Club for his first victory of the year. After notable performances on the Japan Golf Tour and winning the Japan order of merit in 2021, Kim’s win here gets him closer to a spot on the PGA Tour next year.
