The 2024 golf season kicks off on Thursday!

The PGA Tour makes a change to a golf season that lines up with the calendar year and the end of the wrap-around schedule. The first event of 2024 will be in Maui at Kapalua.

The tournament has traditionally been exclusive to winners of prior year events but now features a limited field of 59 players. As the first Signature Event, the purse is $20 million, and 700 FedEx Cup points are up for grabs.

Last year’s winner Jon Rahm, is off to LIV, leaving Collin Morikawa as the top finisher from the previous playing at Kapalua.

Viktor Hovland and Scottie Scheffler are among the favorites teeing it up and ready to pick up where they left off last season.

Ludvig Åberg is a new face in Kapalua but already finds himself inside the top 30 in the world, and expectations are high for the Swedish Ryder Cup player in 2024.
