LIV - Orlando
The third event of the LIV 2023 season heads to Orlando to Orange County National golf course. 18 players from LIV are in the field for The Masters next week and are looking to find some form before the major season begins. The only roster update compared to the last LIV event in Tucson is Andy Ogletree taking the place of Anirban Lahiri, who had to withdraw. Ogletree has won 2 International Series events on the Asian Tour since he last played in LIV at the inaugural London event in June 2022.
PGA Tour - Texas Open
A non-designated event on the PGA Tour, the Texas Open is headlined by Tyrrell Hatton, Hideki Matsuyama, and Sepp Straka. This is the last chance to sneak into the Masters with a win. The tournament is held at TPC San Antonio, and the defending champion is JJ Spaun.
LPGA - LA Open
This week, the LPGA season continues in Los Angeles at a new venue, Palos Verdes Golf Club. The top 4 players in the world headline the event (Lydia Ko, Nelly Korda, Jin Young Ko, and Atthaya Thitikul) for the $1.75 million purse.
Japan LPGA - Yamaha Ladies Open Katsuragi
The Japan LPGA season hosts its 5th event of the year with a strong field featuring 12 of the top 100 players. The tournament is played at Katsuragi Golf Club at Yamaha Resort in Fukuroi, Japan, and the purse is ยฅ100 million (~$760k).
Japan Golf Tour - Token Homemate Cup
The Japan Golf Tour kicks off its first event of the 2023 season with the Token Homemate Cup. Last yearโs Japan Golf Tour money list winner Kazuki Higa is not in the field as he is playing in the Texas Open and will be in Augusta playing in the Masters next week.
