Field Preview: LPGA is back and LIV starts a new season
Tournament Previews for LIV Mayakoba, The Honda Classic, Honda LPGA Thailand, Nelson Mandela Bay Championship, TPS Hunter Valley, Hero Indian Open
We are back with the Golfscale Wednesday Field preview. The LPGA season is in action after a break following the tournament of champions, LIV golf starts its second season, and the PGA Tour heads to Florida. This week we have a Honda-heavy preview, so buckle up.

LPGA - Honda LPGA Thailand
The second event of the LPGA season has almost all of the top 20 players active. The tournament is hosted at Siam Country Club outside of Bangkok. Lydia Ko is coming off a win at the Saudi International and remains the player to beat. An exciting week to see if she can keep up the play amongst a top-tier field. The purse is $1.7 million.

LIV Golf - Mayakoba
Starting its second season, LIV golf heads to Mayakoba for the start of its 14-event season. The new team rosters are set with the most notable new player being Thomas Pieters joining the Range Goats. The tournament is LIVโs first in Mexico and gives a good chance for Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz to show up in front of a Mexican crowd. As with all regular LIV events this season, the individual purse is $20 million, and the team purse is $5 million.

PGA Tour - Honda Championship
After back-to-back designated events, the PGA tour has a lighter field for the Honda Classic. Starting a series of tournaments in Florida, the Honda will give a chance for some of the lower-ranked players to make a move in the FedEx Cup. The purse is $8.4 million.

DP World Tour - Hero Indian Open
The Hero Indian Open is being played in New Delhi at the DLF Golf and Country Club designed by Gary Player. The Indian Open hasnโt been held since 2019, and the two top Indian players on the field are Shubhankar Sharma and Gaganjeet Bhullar. The purse is $2 million.

PGA Tour of Australasia - The Players Series Hunter Valley
In Australia, the final of four TPS events is held at Oaks Cypress Lakes course in Hunter Valley. As with the other TPS events, both men and women are competing in the same event for the top spot. The purse is A$250,000.

Sunshine Tour - Nelson Mandela Bay Championship
Port Elizabeth, South Africa is host to the Nelson Mandela Bay Championship. The tournament is played at Humewood, a seaside links course and the tournamentโs purse is $350,000.
